After another great episode last week with Care Bears Night, it was time for the final theme night of the season, Star Trek Night, in honor of the franchise’s 60th anniversary! I was looking forward to this episode for the simple reason that we are getting towards the end of the season, and the chances are that we will be getting great performances from here on out.  The episode did not start with a group performance from the four contestants on the episode, but rather with a parody of the original Star Trek intro, and from there, we got into the first performer of the night, which was Stingray. Much like last week, in lieu of traditional clue packages, each contestant had one colossal clue to their identities on this episode. After another amazing episode last week with Ozzfest Night, it was time for Care Bears Night! Okay, I am just going to say this right now, I have no idea why this was a theme night. Usually, I am able to understand why there is a theme night centered around a pop culture franchise, but in this case, I could not figure out why. The Care Bears have not been relevant in decades, I’m not even sure if some people even remember who they are, and some of you reading might not remember who they are either. I also had no idea what songs could possibly have been performed on this episode. Granted, there were some theme nights this season where I had no idea what songs could have been performed, but after finally seeing them, I was sort of able to understand why some of the songs were chosen, but even as we got closer to this episode, I couldn’t think of any songs that could be performed, as at best, all I could think of was that they would pick random songs on this episode, and then reverse engi...

After a great return last week with Spice Girls Night, it was finally time for Ozzfest Night! Okay, so here’s a fun fact about me. I really like rock music. I don’t know why, but I always have. Maybe it’s from my brother playing Guitar Hero a lot when we were younger, or maybe it was my mom introducing me to the former classic rock radio station 95.9 The Fox. Whatever the reason, I really like rock music, and I am genuinely surprised by how few rock performances the show has had over the course of 14 seasons, how few rock performers have been contestants already, and how few rock theme nights the show has already had. So, obviously I was looking forward to this theme night, as not only were we going to hear some great rock songs from one of the greatest artists of all time, it was also going to serve as a sweet tribute to him.
