Masked Singer People

There have been many trends that have been a part of The Masked Singer from season to season. These include the contestants walking onto the stage while a song is playing, each group having theme nights, with Group A having the premiere as a regular episode, wildcard contestants in each group, and the unmasked contestant performing an encore of the song they had just performed that episode or any song they performed that season. Over time, some of these trends have changed, as Seasons 7, 8, and 9 did not have any wildcard contestants, and neither will Season 12, and the walk-in song for contestants on theme nights is now a song that relates to the theme of the episode and not the costume itself. Today, we’re going to talk about something a bit different regarding The Masked Singer. Rather than talk about past contestants and where they’re going to be on tour or celebrities who would be great for the show, today we’re going to talk about how Season 8 saved the show.  In order to properly talk about it, we’re going to have to go back to Season 7, which is in my opinion, the worst season of the entire show. I remember when they released the first trailer for Season 7 on January 30, 2022. At first, I thought it looked interesting, although I was very confused by the “Good, Bad, and Cuddly” theming that they had announced for the season. When I went to Reddit and I saw that everybody was saying the costumes were terrible, I started to worry about how the actual season would go, because they were right, the new costume designer was a step down from the previous one.
