My Thoughts On Season 14 So Far

Image
Hello everybody! As some of you are probably aware by my lack of social media activity this week, there was no new episode of The Masked Singer this week, due to The Winter Olympics on NBC, so I can’t do a recap of the next episode right now.  So you’re probably wondering, what am I going to write about if there was new episode this week? Well, seeing as we are literally at the halfway point with six episodes of a twelve episode season, I have decided that for this week, I am going to share my thoughts on Season 14 so far!  Yes, that’s right. I am going to be discussing my thoughts on almost everything we have seen so far on the show, and what we can still expect from the season.  I feel that the best way to start off with this blog post is by saying what I think of the season so far. In the simplest terms imaginable, I think it has been really great! I feel that we have already had several great performances so far, and many great celebrities have become part of The Mask...

A Tribute To James Van Der Beek And A Recap Of Twilight Night

After another great episode last week and having met all the contestants of the season with Red White And Clue Night, it was time for Twilight Night! When I first heard about this Theme Night, I had no idea what it would entail, but I knew that the song A Thousand Years would be performed in some way. Before I get into the episode though, there is something that I need to bring up. I was initially on the fence about even talking about it, but after seeing that the show addressed it, I feel that I should as well. James Van Der Beek, The Griffin on Season 13, has passed away after a years long battle with colorectal cancer.  I am going to be completely honest with you all, five other past contestants have passed away over the years, but out of all of them, this one hit me the hardest, and for a little while, I couldn’t understand why. But now I know why it hit me as hard as it did. It’s because it felt lik...

Red White And Clue Night

After another great episode last week with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night, it was time for Red White And Clue Night, which was in honor of America’s 250th Birthday.  Okay, so here’s a quick little disclaimer here. At the start of the season, they announced all the theme nights that would be a part of the season… except for one, which also happened to be this one. To make things even more confusing, they showed clips of performances from this episode in the trailers for the season, so at this point, I was trying to figure out what theme night could possibly have TWO contestants giving performances with backup dancers wearing cowboy hats. At first, I thought it was Fear Night, because Eggplant’s performance had a backdrop that had the words “Bold Courage” on it, and I figured he was singing a country song, but then I was also wondering why High Voltage also had backup dancers wearing cowboy hats, and when I saw what the performances on Fear Night actually looked like, I figured t...
