Times When All The Panelists Were Incorrect
Hello everyone!
Since The Masked Singer has started up taping Season 14 this week, I feel that it’s time for me to write another blog post about the show!
I was recently talking with my dad about how Nicole was one season too early with her guess of Sebastian Bach for one contestant, and that none of the panelists were correct with their guesses for this contestant, which sent me down a rabbit hole of all the times on the show where none of the panelists were correct.
For those of you who are wondering what I mean, I’m talking about contestants that none of the panelists guessed correctly at any point in time, from the end of their first performance to the moment they were unmasked. I will be sharing the final guesses that were made, and how I feel about these guesses.
I will be skipping Season 7 for reasons that I am going to choose not to go into, but for those of you who know me and my history with the show really well, you know what I am talking about.
The first contestant that none of the panelists guessed correctly was, funny enough, the very first contestant unmasked, The Hippo. Robin guessed him to be Odell Beckham Jr, Jenny and Ken guessed him to be Deion Sanders, and Nicole guessed him to be Allen Iverson, and he was then unmasked to be former NFL player Antonio Brown. I feel that their guesses here were reasonable, as they all guessed athletes, and three of them guessed football players.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed correctly was the very next one, The Pineapple, who was revealed to be legendary comedian Tommy Chong. If you wanted proof that this unmasking happened early in the show’s run when the panelists were still figuring out everything about the show, look no further than their guesses, which were Sugar Ray Leonard, Cheech Marin, Kid Rock, and Jimmy Buffett. Yes that’s right, their guesses included a former boxer, two professional singers, and Tommy Chong’s comedy partner. Try to make sense of that if you can.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Poodle, who was revealed to be comedian and actress Margaret Cho. While some of the panelists were in the ballpark with their guesses, some of them were all over the place, as Jenny and Ken guessed she was Kathy Griffin and Melissa Rivers respectively, while Nicole and Robin guessed that she was Jillian Michaels and Judge Judy of all people respectively. I always wonder what some of the panelists hear that makes them guess celebrities that are massively different ages from the celebrity it really is.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Lion, who was revealed to be Rumer Willis. This is a time where the panelists were so amazed by the singing voice of a non-professional singer, that they were convinced that it was a professional singer. Their guesses reflect that, as Robin guessed Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child, Jenny guessed Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child, Ken guessed Dawn Robinson from En Vogue, and Nicole guessed Hailee Steinfeld. While all these guesses were wrong, you have to admit it’s the ultimate compliment to not be a singer and manage to convince four celebrities, two of whom are singers, that it is your career.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Monster, who was T-Pain. This is one of the few times in the show’s history where I can say that the panelists were genuinely lost, as their guesses were all over the place throughout the season, with one moment that stands out to me being when Robin asked the other panelists during one performance if Sugar Ray Leonard sings. I have no idea what could have possibly led him to that. By the time it was finally time for him to unmask, most of the panelists had fairly reasonable answers, as Robin guessed Jamie Foxx, Ken guessed Darius Rucker, and Nicole guessed CeeLo Green. I say fairly reasonable because some of those guesses still are not good, and I say most of the panelists had fairly reasonable answers because you are not ready to see what Jenny’s final guess was.
You will never in a million years guess what she said, as she focused on The Monster part of the costume, and not the fact that he was an amazing singer.
Her final guess was…
Are you ready?
Jenny’s final guess for The Monster instead of T-Pain was…
MICHAEL VICK.
Yes, you read that correctly. And everybody else there reacted the same way you are probably reacting right now.
That being said, it led to a very funny moment, as when Jenny apologized to T-Pain for guessing that he was Michael Vick, he said it was okay because in his words, “I love my dogs.”
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Ice Cream, who was Twitch Streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. While they were all wrong, I was impressed by how close they were with their guesses, as Robin guessed DeadMau5, Jenny guessed Rob Dyrdek, Nicole guessed Marshmello, and Ken was the closest of everyone, as he guessed PewDiePie, another game streamer.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Panda, who was former boxer Laila Ali. The panelists were clearly paying more attention to her fun personality, as Robin guessed Loni Love, Jenny guessed Wanda Sykes, Ken guessed Queen Latifah, and Nicole guessed Venus Williams. The very bizarre part though is that either before or after her performance, Robin said as a joke that he thought The Panda was Laila Ali, but he never stuck with that correct guess.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Eagle, who was former host of Loveline Dr. Drew Pinsky. This is another instance of the panelists not guessing correctly, but guessing close, as Robin guessed Howard Stern, Jenny guessed his longtime cohost Adam Carolla, Ken guessed Craig Ferguson, and Nicole guessed Jeff Foxworthy.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Penguin, who was actress, comedian, and talk show host Sherri Shepherd. The panelists were all in the right ballpark with their guesses, guessing either talk show hosts or comedic actresses, as Robin guessed Mindy Kaling, Jenny guessed Nicole Byer, Ken guessed Wanda Sykes, and Nicole guessed Star Jones. The funny thing is, Jenny had already been correctly guessing that she was Sherri Shepherd, but changed her guess to Nicole Byer at the last minute, making it a guess that ended up becoming one that nobody got correct.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Ladybug, who was Kelly Osbourne. The panelists were in the correct ballpark this time, as they were all guessing female celebrities from famous families, with Robin and Ken guessing Lindsay Lohan, no matter how much Ladybug opposed that guess, Jenny guessing Paris Jackson, and Nicole guessing Jamie Lynn Spears.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Rottweiler, who was Chris Daughtry. This is one that is surprising to me, as he has a very distinct voice, and he made it to The Finale, and the panelists never guessed correctly, as Robin and Nicole guessed Darren Criss, Jenny guessed Jason Mraz, and Ken guessed Dave Franco.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Robot, who was Lil Wayne. This is a trifecta of bizarre moments on the show, as it was a panelists not guessing someone they have worked with moment, a what made the panelists make the guesses they made moment, and a how did they not recognize such a distinct voice moment all combined into one. Ken had the most okay guess out of everybody, as he guessed Flavor Flav, while Jenny guessed Johnny Knoxville, and then we get to the three people he has worked with before, Robin, Nicole, and guest panelist Jamie Foxx.
Jamie Foxx guessed that he was Steve-O, Nicole guessed that he was Floyd Mayweather, and Robin guessed that he was Shaun White of all people.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Llama, who was Drew Carey. The panelists all had fairly logical and reasonable guesses, as Robin guessed Adam Carolla, Jenny guessed Kelsey Grammer, Ken guessed Joel McHale, and Nicole guessed Woody Harrelson.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Elephant, who was Tony Hawk. What I find interesting here is that all the panelists focused on individual parts of the clues to make their guesses that were still fairly close for the most part, as Robin guessed skateboarder Travis Pastrana, Jenny guessed Lance Armstrong, Ken guessed Beto O’Rourke of all people, and Nicole guessed Steve Aoki.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Taco, who was TV host Tom Bergeron. While some of the panelists had fairly reasonable guesses, as Ken and Robin guessed Martin Short, Jenny guessed Jerry Springer, and Nicole guessed Barry Manilow, this is yet another instance of the panelists not guessing someone they had worked with, as Robin was a musical guest on Dancing with the Stars, Jenny wrote the blurb on the cover of his book, and Nicole won Dancing with the Stars.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Bear, who was Sarah Palin. Yes, you read that correctly. One of the past contestants on the show was Sarah Palin. The panelists were not even close, as Nicole guessed Christina Applegate, Ken guessed Jodie Sweetin, Jenny guessed Candace Cameron Bure, and Robin was the closest out of everyone, as he guessed Tina Fey. I can’t really blame them for not guessing correctly, because I don’t think I would have ever guessed Sarah Palin in a million years.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Swan, who was actress Bella Thorne. None of the panelists were even close with their guesses, as Robin guessed Nina Dobrev, Jenny guessed Kristen Stewart, Ken guessed Olivia Munn, and Nicole guessed Megan Fox. This proved to be another embarrassing moment for Ken, as Bella Thorne was one of his former costars that he failed to guess again, and she even admitted that she did the show because Ken had guessed her in the previous season.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Kitty, who was America’s Got Talent alum and singer Jackie Evancho. Robin’s final guess was Ashley Tisdale, Jenny’s final guess was Lea Michele, Ken’s final guess was Anna Kendrick, and Nicole’s final guess was Vanessa Hudgens. Not only were they not even close with their final guesses, they were never close with their guesses at any other point during the season. In fact, the only panelist to even be close with their guess was guest panelist Gordon Ramsay, who guessed that she was fellow opera singer Charlotte Church.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Giraffe, who was 90210 star Brian Austin Green. Some of the panelists were very far off with their final guesses as Nicole and Robin guessed Dale Earnhardt Jr and Travis Barker respectively, while the other panelists were eerily close, as Jenny guessed Seth Green, another celebrity whose last name is Green, Ken guessed Shia LaBeouf, who famously starred with his ex-wife Megan Fox in the Transformers movies, and guest panelist Joel McHale guessed his 90210 costar Jason Priestley.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Baby Alien, who was former NFL player Mark Sanchez. The panelists final guesses were all over the place, as they guessed Jason Biggs, Nick Kroll, Freddie Prinze Jr, and Jeff Dunham, and I don’t blame them for being all over the place, as the clues were so stripped down that they could have applied to anybody, let alone a former football player.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Snail, who was Kermit The Frog. Yes, you read that correctly, one of the celebrities who was unmasked, was a fictional character who is a puppet. Three out of the four panelists gave decent guesses, with Robin guessing Seth MacFarlane, Ken guessing Jay Leno, and Nicole guessing Billy Crystal.
Jenny’s guess, however, is easily one of the most bizarre guesses I have ever heard in the entire show.
Her final guess for The Snail was…
TED CRUZ.
No, I am not making this up. She actually said that. And what’s even funnier is the fact that after his performance, she commented that whoever was underneath the mask was doing a Kermit The Frog impression.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Raccoon, who was actor Danny Trejo. The panelists all gave decent guesses, with some being worse than others. Jenny guessed Gary Busey, which is actually who I thought it was at first. Nicole guessed Sylvester Stallone, Ken guessed Danny DeVito, and Robin guessed Tony Danza.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Grandpa Monster, who was Logan Paul. Before I tell you what everyone’s final guesses were, I’m going to tell you all what Jenny’s First Impression Guess was, because I will never understand what led her to this.
You are not ready to read this.
Jenny’s First Impression Guess for Grandpa Monster was…
MORGAN FREEMAN.
I don’t know. I can’t explain why the first time she heard Logan Paul, she guessed Morgan Freeman, who sounds literally nothing like him.
The final guesses were a bit more interesting though, as they were all fairly reasonable, as Robin guessed Johnny Manziel, Jenny guessed The Miz, Ken guessed Kevin Hart, and Nicole surprisingly guessed Jake Paul, which has to be the closest you can be to guessing who someone is without being correct.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Orca, who was Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray. The panelists all had reasonable guesses, as Jenny guessed Kelly Slater, Robin and Ken guessed Billie Joe Armstrong, and Nicole guessed Dave Grohl.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Mother Nature, who was actress Vivica A Fox. All the panelists gave decent guesses, and they were surprisingly evenly divided with them, as Jenny and Ken guessed Tiffany Haddish, while Robin and Nicole guessed Tracee Ellis Ross.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Pufferfish, who was Toni Braxton. This is one that I find surprising, because she is such an iconic singer with an iconic voice, but the panelists guessed Jessica Alba, Nelly Furtado, Zoe Saldana, and Monica.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Dalmatian, who was Tyga. I feel that three out of the four panelists made good guesses, as Robin and Nicole guessed Nelly, and Ken guessed football player Reggie Bush. Jenny’s guesses however, were very bizarre, as her First Impression Guess was Steve Harvey of all people. I can’t explain this one no matter how hard I try. Her final guess was also bizarre, as she went with Kevin Hart, who is 5’2”, while Tyga is 5’7”.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Baby, who was Larry The Cable Guy. The panelists could not have been more all over the place with their final guesses, but I understand why, because he was one of the most all over the place contestants. Robin’s guess was Chuck Norris, Jenny’s guess was Bruce Willis, Ken’s guess was Gordon Ramsay, and Nicole’s guess was James Corden.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Beach Ball, who was Honey Boo Boo and Mama June. I feel that the panelists gave fairly reasonable guesses as Robin guessed Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings, Jenny guessed Snooki and JWoww, Ken guessed Kim and Khloe Kardashian, and Nicole guessed Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Jester, who was Johnny Rotten from The Sex Pistols. The panelists were not too far off with their final guesses, as they all guessed rock singers, with Robin guessing Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jenny guessing Dee Snider, Ken guessing Roger Daltrey from The Who, and Nicole guessing Gene Simmons.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Mallard, who was Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty. Yes, you are reading that correctly. The guy from Duck Dynasty was dressed as a duck on The Masked Singer, and the panelists failed to guess him. Most of them thought he was a country singer, with Robin guessing Alan Jackson, Jenny guessing Jason Aldean, and Ken guessing Billy Ray Cyrus. Nicole was the closest, as she guessed fellow Reality TV star Dog The Bounty Hunter.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Caterpillar, who was Bobby Berk from Queer Eye. This is one where the panelists were all over the place and had no idea who it was, as Robin guessed AJ McLean from Backstreet Boys, Jenny guessed Owen Wilson of all people, Ken guessed Dan Levy from Schitt’s Creek, and Nicole guessed Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Hummingbird, who was Chris Kirkpatrick from NSYNC. The panelists were clearly thrown off by all the football references in his Clue Package, as Robin guessed Deion Sanders, and Ken guessed Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, while Jenny guessed two singers, which were Rob Thomas and Uncle Kracker.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Panther, who was R&B singer Montell Jordan. Robin guessed Iman Shumpert, Jenny guessed Lamar Odom, Ken guessed Sam Richardson, and Nicole guessed Billy Porter. I find all four of the panelists guesses to be completely bizarre. Sam Richardson and Billy Porter are 5’11” and 5’10” respectively, whereas Montell Jordan is a towering 6’8”, and while Iman Shumpert and Lamar Odom are both closer in height, and I can understand why they would go down the route of athletes, Montell Jordan is a great singer, and the panelists should have been able to tell that he was a great singer, especially with how Robin was convinced that Montell Jordan was Thingamajig in Season 2.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Robo Girl, who was actress and singer Kat Graham. The panelists actually gave some pretty good guesses in this instance, as Robin guessed Keke Palmer, Jenny guessed Shay Mitchell, Ken guessed Sydney Sweeney, and Nicole guessed Liza Koshy.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Milkshake, who was former football player Le’Veon Bell. The panelists had a hard time telling whether or not he was a rapper or an athlete, and their guesses reflect that, as Robin guessed DeSean Jackson, DJ Jazzy Jeff, LL Cool J, and T.I.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Bride, who was wrestler and singer Chris Jericho. The panelists were all over the place with this one, as Robin guessed Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jenny guessed Vin Diesel, Ken guessed Matthew McConaughey for some reason, and Nicole guessed Sammy Hagar.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Avocado, who was comedian and podcast host Adam Carolla. The panelists were actually very close with their guesses, as Robin guessed Tim Allen, Jenny guessed Marc Maron, Ken guessed Dax Shepard, and Nicole guessed Joe Rogan.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Scarecrow, who was actress and star of The Exorcist, Linda Blair. The panelists did not give terrible guesses, as they all seemed to agree that it was someone from a horror movie, as Robin guessed Susan Sarandon, Jenny guessed Glenn Close, Ken guessed Parker Posey, and Nicole guessed Jamie Lee Curtis.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Sir Bug A Boo, who was Ray Parker Jr, the artist who performed Ghostbusters. Much like with Linda Blair, the panelists agreed that it was someone known for their work in something horror related, but bizarrely, they did not guess singers, as Robin guessed Keenan Ivory Wayans, Ken guessed Jordan Peele, Nicole guessed Randy Jackson from American Idol and Name That Tune, and Jenny was the closest out of everyone, as she guessed Ernie Hudson, who starred in Ghostbusters.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Gnome, who was the legendary Dick Van Dyke. This is one that I am surprised nobody guessed, and their guesses were also bizarre, as Robin and Nicole guessed Dustin Hoffman, Jenny guessed Tony Bennett, and Ken guessed Robert De Niro of all people.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Mustang, who was country singer Sara Evans. The panelists were all over the place with their guesses, as Robin guessed Suzanne Somers, Jenny guessed Joan Jett, Ken guessed Pink for some reason, and Nicole guessed Wynonna Judd.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Fairy, who was actress and singer Holly Robinson Peete. The panelists focused on the famous parent part of the clue package with their guesses, as Robin guessed Lori Harvey, Jenny guessed Corinne Foxx, Ken guessed Jennifer Aniston for some reason, and Nicole guessed Tracee Ellis Ross.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Scorpio, who was Christine Quinn from Selling Sunset. Some of the panelists knew that it was a reality star, as Robin guessed Lisa Rinna, Jenny guessed Denise Richards, Ken guessed Heidi Klum, and Nicole guessed Willa Ford. What makes this interesting is that when they were making their initial guesses, Robin said that he thought it could be someone from Selling Sunset.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Doll, who was Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. For the most part, the panelists were not that far off with their guesses, as Robin guessed Gene Simmons, Jenny guessed Iggy Pop, Nicole guessed David Lee Roth, and Ken guessed Austin Butler of all people, as he had performed an Elvis song that night.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Mantis, who was actor Lou Diamond Philips. I feel that half the panelists had good guesses for him, while the other half did not. Robin and Jenny had good guesses, which were Dennis Quaid and Kevin Bacon respectively, which are both actors who can also sing. Ken and Nicole in my opinion did not have good guesses, as they guessed Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi respectively, who are two celebrities that I would be surprised to find out could sing as well as Lou Diamond Phillips.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Gargoyle, who was NFL player Keenan Allen. The panelists actually had some fairly reasonable guesses based on the clues that were presented, as Robin and Nicole both guessed football players, Joey Bosa and Marshawn Lynch respectively, Jenny guessed Michael B Jordan, and Ken guessed Anthony Mackie.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The UFO, who was supermodel Olivia Culpo. The panelists were able to pick up on the fact that it was a supermodel, as Robin guessed Molly Sims, Jenny guessed Gigi Hadid, Ken guessed Rebecca Romijn, and Nicole guessed Lily Collins.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Pickle, who was Michael Rapaport. The panelists actually had some fairly reasonable guesses in this case, as Robin guessed Joel McHale, Jenny guessed Conan O’Brien, Ken guessed Howard Stern, and Nicole guessed Charlie Sheen. I will have more to say about his unmasking in another blog post that I am currently working on in my mind…
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Hawk, who was Tyler Posey from the Teen Wolf TV Series. The panelists actually had some fairly reasonable guesses, as Robin guessed Ryan Phillippe, Jenny guessed Chad Michael Murray, Ken guessed Cole Sprouse, and Nicole guessed Billie Joe Armstrong.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Cuddle Monster, who was former NBA player Metta World Peace. The panelists knew that a basketball player was underneath the mask, as Nicole guessed Shaquille O’Neal, Ken guessed Draymond Green, Jenny guessed Tristan Thompson, and Robin guessed Dennis Rodman. Side note, I was completely convinced that Cuddle Monster was Dennis Rodman right until he was unmasked and I saw that he was Metta World Peace.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Anteater, who was John Oates. I was a little surprised that the panelists didn’t guess him, as the clues weren’t exactly subtle, but they did guess rock singers from around the same time, as Robin guessed Jackson Browne, Jenny guessed Steven Van Zandt, Ken guessed Billy Joel for some reason, and Nicole guessed John Mellencamp.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Gazelle, who was Janel Parrish from Pretty Little Liars. The panelists were pretty close with their guesses, as Robin and Jenny guessed Ashley Tisdale, Ken guessed Constance Wu, and Nicole guessed Gina Rodriguez.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Afghan Hound, who was Savannah Chrisley. The panelists were not too far off with their final guesses, going with reality stars from famous families, as Robin guessed Bethenny Frankel, Jenny guessed Brooke Hogan, Ken guessed Olivia Jade, and Rita guessed Sistine Stallone.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Spaghetti & Meatballs, who was Joe Bastianich from MasterChef. The panelists could not have been any closer while still being wrong if they tried, as Robin guessed Stanley Tucci, Jenny guessed Guy Fieri, Ken guessed Bobby Flay, and Rita guessed Gordon Ramsay.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Sir Lion, who was TV host Billy Bush. The panelists were able to figure out that it was a TV host, as Robin guessed Anderson Cooper, Jenny guessed Seth Meyers, Ken guessed Ryan Seacrest, and Rita guessed Andy Cohen, but I don’t blame them for getting it wrong, as the clues were so generic that they could have applied to anyone.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Koala, who was former NFL player DeMarcus Ware. The panelists were still able to figure out that it was a former football player, as Robin guessed Michael Irvin, Jenny guessed Shannon Sharpe, Ken guessed Deion Sanders, and Rita guessed Terry Crews.
The next contestant, or should I say contestants, that none of the panelists guessed were The Beets, who were Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard. The panelists guessed a wide variety of duos, as Robin guessed Dan + Shay, Jenny guessed Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family, Ken guessed K-Ci & JoJo, and Rita guessed CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Gumball, who was Scott Porter from Friday Night Lights. The panelists were sort of on the right track, as they seemed to be guessing actors who can also sing, as Robin and Jenny guessed Derek Hough, Ken guessed Taran Killam, and Rita guessed Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Woodpecker, who was Marsai Martin from Black-ish. The panelists all gave pretty good guesses, as Robin guessed Liza Koshy, Jenny guessed Tatyana Ali, Ken guessed Quinta Brunson, and Rita guessed Keke Palmer.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Dust Bunny, who was comedian and actor Andy Richter. The panelists were close with their guesses, as Robin guessed Chevy Chase, Jenny guessed John C Reilly, Ken guessed Will Ferrell, and Rita guessed Jay Leno, but as Andy Richter said, they went too high on the call sheet.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Chess Piece, who was actress Laverne Cox. The panelists had some very interesting guesses, as Robin guessed Misty Copeland, Jenny guessed Serena Williams, Ken guessed Issa Rae, and Rita guessed Tyra Banks.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Bluebell, who was singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia. All the panelists were focused on the clue that she was from Australia, so Robin guessed Isla Fisher, Jenny guessed Naomi Watts, Ken guessed Rose Byrne, and Rita guessed Kylie Minogue. What makes this even funnier is the fact that Natalie Imbruglia was also a contestant on the UK version of The Masked Singer where Rita used to be a panelist, and she failed to guess her there as well.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed is an interesting case, Ice King, who was Drake Bell. Robin guessed Cole Sprouse, Ken guessed Joe Jonas, Rita guessed Shia LaBeouf, and for why this is an interesting case, Jenny simultaneously guessed Drake Bell and James Franco, and the show seemed to be allowing it, so she simultaneously got it right and wrong.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Strawberry Shortcake, who was AJ Michalka. The panelists actually had good guesses, as Robin guessed Kelsea Ballerini, Jenny guessed Sarah Hyland, and Ken guessed Joey King, and while Rita wasn’t there for when she got unmasked, I also feel that she would have guessed incorrectly.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Fuzzy Peas, who was former boxer Oscar De La Hoya. The guesses from the panelists were all over the place, as Robin guessed John Leguizamo, Jenny guessed Antonio Banderas, Ken guessed Pitbull, and Rita guessed Cesar Millan.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was The Bat, who was Scheana Shay from Vanderpump Rules. The panelists actually had good guesses, as they all guessed celebrities from Bravo, with Robin and Rita guessing Bethenny Frankel, Jenny guessing Larsa Pippen, and Ken guessing Lisa Rinna.
The next contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Cherry Blossom, who was Candace Cameron Bure. The panelists were all over the place for what I thought were fairly obvious clues, as Robin guessed Tracey Gold, Jenny guessed Jennie Garth, and not just because they share a name, Ken guessed Tina Fey of all people for some reason, and Rita guessed Jessica Biel.
The last contestant that none of the panelists guessed was Boogie Woogie, who was Andy Grammer. The panelists actually had some decent guesses, as Robin guessed Daniel Powter, the guy who sings the song Bad Day, Jenny guessed Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic, Ken guessed Ed Sheeran for some reason, and Rita guessed Darren Criss.
Overall, there have been many moments where the panelists have all been completely stumped as to who a contestant was, and I’m sure we’ll see more in Season 14, and I’ll see you all soon with my next blog post!
