Three More Celebrities We Want To See On The Masked Singer
The first celebrity that we feel would be perfect for the show is Vanilla Ice. As we have said several times, it has been a while since the show has had a rapper as a contestant and a rap performance, and we feel that he would be a great singer to represent the genre, as according to his Wikipedia page, he helped introduce hip hop to a mainstream audience. He also has a few accolades that the show loves to have, as he has a live album that was certified gold, and his debut album was certified 7x Platinum, and he has two singles that were certified gold and Platinum. He has also been nominated for a Soul Train Music Award, won a People’s Choice Award, been nominated for four American Music Awards with two wins, and been nominated for a Grammy Award. He also has a great singing voice for many rap songs, and we feel that if he picks the right ones, he could go far in the show. We can see him going for songs like “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)” by Beastie Boys, “Jump Around” by House of Pain, and “It’s Tricky” by Run-D.M.C. When he gets unmasked, it would be great to hear him sing “Ice Ice Baby.”
The second celebrity that we feel would be perfect for the show is Drew Lachey from 98 Degrees. The show has had more than one member of a particular boy band as contestants before, as they had Joey Fatone from NSYNC as a contestant in Season 1, and his fellow bandmate Chris Kirkpatrick as a contestant in Season 8, so it would be great for them to have another member of 98 Degrees that also happens to be the brother of one of the previous winners. He also has several accolades that the show loves to have, as he has three albums that landed high on the charts, an album that was certified gold, an album that was certified Platinum, an album that was certified 2x Platinum, and an album that was certified 4x Platinum, and several singles that also landed high on the charts, four of which were certified gold, and one that was certified Platinum. He has also been guessed before, as he was guessed to be The Turtle in Season 3 and The Piglet in Season 5, which makes it even more likely that he will be a contestant. He also has experience with The Masked Singer, as he was one of the celebrities that got unmasked during the tour that the show did, which could convince him to do the actual show. He also has a great singing voice that lends itself well to many pop and R&B songs, and if he picks the right ones, he could go far in the show. We can see him going for songs like “Light Switch” by Charlie Puth, “My Prerogative” by Bobby Brown, and “What Goes Around… Comes Around” by Justin Timberlake. When he gets unmasked, it would be great to hear him sing “Because of You.”
The third celebrity that we feel would be perfect for the show is Ashanti. The show has had many R&B singers that got their start in the early 2000s as contestants, and she would be a great singer to add to this category. She also has several accolades that the show loves to have, as almost all her albums landed high on the charts, two of them were certified Platinum, and one was certified 3x Platinum. She also has a bunch of singles that landed high on the charts, some of which she was a featured artist on, and two of the singles she was a featured artist on were certified gold, and she has two solo singles that are certified gold and 2x Platinum. She also has theater experience, as she was in the Encores production of “The Wiz,” where she played Dorothy, and was in a one night only concert called “The Yellow Brick Road Not Taken.” She also has experience working with Fox, as she was on an episode of “Fox & Friends,” and was the musical guest on an episode of “I Can See Your Voice,” which could increase her chances of being a contestant. She has also been guessed before, as she was guessed to be The Seashell in Season 5, The Harp in Season 8, and The Candelabra in Season 10, which makes it even more likely that she will be on the show. She also has a great singing voice, as the website Singing Carrots says that she is known for her soulful and sultry vocals, uses a lot of breath control, uses intricate harmonies in her singing, and has distinctive enunciation and pronunciation. With these vocal qualities, she could go far in the show. We can see her going for songs like “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” by Jennifer Lopez, “Jumpin’, Jumpin’” by Destiny’s Child, and “Creep” by TLC. When she gets unmasked, it would be great to hear her sing her song “Foolish.”
