Three More Celebrities Perfect For The Show

We are back with three more celebrities that we feel would be perfect for The Masked Singer! As always, we hope that you will agree with who we have come up with.

The first celebrity that we think would be perfect for the show is Wyclef Jean. He is a rapper who uses reggae influences in some of his songs. It has been a while since the show has had a rapper as a contestant, and they have only had one contestant who sings reggae so far, so he would be a welcome addition for these reasons. He also has a ton of accolades that the show loves to have, as he has an album that was certified 2x Platinum, another album that was certified Platinum, three Platinum singles, a Golden Globe Award nomination, ten Grammy nominations with three wins, four MTV VMA nominations with one win, the National Order of Honour and Merit in Haiti, and an induction in the New Jersey Hall of Fame. He also has experience taking part in fun shows, as he has been on episodes of “Ridiculousness” and Wild ‘n Out” hosted by Nick Cannon, and he appeared on the reboot of “The Electric Company.” His voice is also described as being unique, as he can blend hip hop, reggae, and pop vibes, and he also can change his vocal register from light and breathy to adding grit and gruffness to his voice. These abilities can help him stand out among the other contestants and go far in the competition or even win. When he is on the show, we can see him going for rap songs like “21 Questions” by 50 Cent and “Lonely” by Akon, or songs with reggae influences like “Here Comes the Hotstepper” by Ini Kamoze and “Angel” by Shaggy. When he gets unmasked, it would be great to hear him perform his song “Gone till November.”

The second celebrity that we think would be perfect for the show is Vanessa Carlton. She is an alternative musician, which is a genre of music that the show has not had yet, and she would be the perfect singer to represent it. She also has several accolades that the show loves to have, as she has a Platinum album that reached 5 on the charts, a single that reached 5 on the charts and was a featured artist on a song that was certified gold. She has also been nominated for an American Music Award, nominated for six Billboard Music Awards, nominated for three Grammy awards, and nominated for a Teen Choice Award. She also has experience with fun reality shows, as she was on an episode of “Cribs” on MTV and an episode of “Punk’d.” She still tours regularly, one of which was a tour with Stevie Nicks, so she is still comfortable performing in front of an audience that is either small or large. She has also been on Broadway, as she was in “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” where she played Carole King herself, which shows that she has range in her voice, and is also a testament to her ability. We also feel that she has an amazing voice that has been described as having a smooth, high pitch and an almost child-like quality that creates an ethereal atmosphere in her songs, and she can also sustain long and consistent notes. These abilities could help her not only go far in the competition, but they could also help her win. As she is also known for playing the piano, we feel that it would be a great idea if the costume designers gave her a costume that gave her the ability to play the piano while she is singing. It would also be great to hear her sing songs like “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish or “Because the Night” by Patti Smith, or songs she has covered in concerts before like “Learning to Fly” by Tom Petty. When she gets unmasked, it would great to hear her perform “A Thousand Miles.”

The third celebrity that we feel would be perfect for the show is David Johansen, also known as Buster Poindexter, from New York Dolls. The show has only had a few rock singers over ten seasons, and he just seems like someone who is perfect for the show. The story of his success has been very interesting, as while his band didn’t have much commercial success and fell apart after only a few years, New York Dolls developed a cult following with their first two albums. They were also one of the first punk rock bands and were the catalyst for New York’s early punk rock scene, which included Talking Heads, Patti Smith, The Ramones, and Blondie, and British punk rock bands the Sex Pistols and The Clash. In the 1980s, their influence also helped to form the glam metal genre, specifically their androgynous aesthetic and wearing of spandex, dresses, high heels, and teased hair, which influenced Motley Crue, Poison, Skid Row, and Twisted Sister. They have also been influential towards other musicians like Joan Jett, David Bowie, Billy Idol, Def Leppard, and R.E.M. David Johansen himself has also experienced much success, as he had an album that reached 40 on the charts, and his cover of “Hot Hot Hot” was also a big hit. He has also taken on several fun acting roles over the years, such as playing the Ghost of Christmas Past in the comedy movie “Scrooged,” playing the bartender in the Netflix special “A Very Murray Christmas,” and voicing the character of Beartaur in the Netflix series “Centaurworld” in 2021. He was also the subject of a documentary on Showtime this year called “Personality Crisis: One Night Only,” which was directed by Martin Scorsese. He is also known for his flamboyant stage manner, which would make him an entertaining contestant, and he would probably choose a crazy looking costume as he is already known for his outrageous sense of fashion. He also has a versatile voice that can go higher or lower depending on what he is singing, which could help him stick around in the competition for a while. When he is on the show, we can see him going for rock songs like “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals, and songs he has covered in live shows like “Build Me Up Buttercup” by The Foundations. When he gets unmasked, it would be great to hear him sing the New York Dolls song “Personality Crisis.”

We hope you all enjoyed reading who we think should do the show! We’ll see you again soon with another post!
