Season 10 So Far

As we are currently almost halfway through Season 10, it seems right to make a post that recaps who has been unmasked so far, the identities of who is still in the competition, and what is still to come this season.

The season started off with a kickoff episode that featured a guest contestant named Anonymouse. She gave an amazing performance of the song “What About Love” by Heart as a way of starting off the season. At the end of the episode, she was revealed to be pop singer Demi Lovato, who is one of the biggest stars the show has had.

When the season premiere aired a few weeks later, the first contestant to be unmasked was Rubber Ducky. He gave an entertaining performance of “Come on Eileen” by Dexy’s Midnight Runners and was revealed at the end of the episode to be actor and comedian Anthony Anderson.

The next contestant to be unmasked the following week was the Diver. His first performance was a surprisingly good rendition of “Any Way You Want It” by Journey. His second performance an entertaining rendition of “I Ain’t Worried” by OneRepublic. He was unmasked after this performance and revealed to be Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules.

The contestant who was unmasked the week after that was the Pickle, who was a wildcard contestant introduced in the second week. He gave two very entertaining and funny performances of “Pinball Wizard” by The Who and “Beverly Hills” by Weezer, during both of which he inserted the word “pickle” into the lyrics. After his second performance, he was revealed to be actor and comedian Michael Rapaport, who ranted to the panelists that he should still be there.

In the fourth week, we met a new group of contestants. The first contestant to be unmasked in this group was Royal Hen. She gave a good performance of “Philadelphia Freedom” by Elton John, which she sang because it was Elton John Night. At the end of the episode, she was revealed to be tennis legend Billie Jean King. What made this reveal even greater was the fact that she sang a song that Elton John wrote about her on Elton John Night.

The contestant who was unmasked the following week was Hawk. He gave two great performances of “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” by Elton John and “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic” by The Police. He performed both songs in a way that sounded like 2000s pop punk. He was unmasked after his second performance and revealed to be actor and singer Tyler Posey from the show Teen Wolf.

As of right now, there are three contestants left in Group A and Group B, and five contestants we have yet to meet in Group C.

The first contestant in Group A is the Gazelle, who kicked the competition off with a powerful performance of “Uninvited” by Alanis Morissette. She followed that up with another powerful performance of “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry. Her third performance was an upbeat and entertaining performance of “Lucky” by Britney Spears. The internet has determined that the Gazelle is actress and singer Janel Parrish from Pretty Little Liars.

The second contestant in Group A is the S’more, whose first performance was a great rendition of “Slow Hands” by Niall Horan. His second performance was another great and energetic performance of “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5. His third performance was a great and powerful rendition of “Hey There Delilah” by the Plain White T’s. After much debating over several days and weeks, the internet has determined that the S’more is Ashley Parker Angel from the early 2000s boy band O-Town.

The third contestant in Group A is the Cow, whose first performance was an amazing rendition of “Bones” by Imagine Dragons. His second performance was a fun and energetic rendition of “Treasure” by Bruno Mars, during which he showed off some of his dancing abilities. His third performance was an incredible version of “Cry Me a River” by Justin Timberlake, during which he showed off his incredible vocal abilities. The internet has determined that the Cow is R&B singer Ne-Yo.

The first contestant in Group B is the Husky, whose first performance was a very good rendition of “Bennie and the Jets” by Elton John. His second performance was an amazing version of “Super Freak” by Rick James. During both performances, he showed off some of his dance moves. The internet has determined that the Husky is R&B singer Ginuwine.

The second contestant in Group B is the Tiki, whose first performance was an amazing version of “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” by Elton John. He continued to show off his range with his second performance, which was a very good version of “Magic” by Pilot. The internet has determined that the Tiki is heavy metal singer and former lead singer of Skid Row Sebastian Bach.

The third contestant in Group C is the Sea Queen, who is the wild card contestant for the group. Her only performance so far has been a great rendition of “Love Potion No. 9” by The Searchers. The internet figured out very quickly that the Sea Queen is R&B singer Macy Gray.

As of right now, we still have to meet Group C for the first time. The contestants in this group are Hibiscus, Anteater, Candelabra, Donut, and the wild card contestant is Cuddle Monster.

Other episode themes coming up are One Hit Wonders Night, Trolls Night, which is centered around the animated movies, Disco Night, Rock Night, and Soundtrack of my Life, which presumably is songs that have personal connections to the contestants.

Hopefully you have all been enjoying this season of The Masked Singer, and that those of you who haven’t been watching it will want to soon!
