Taylor Dayne - Popcorn



One of the best contestants on Season 4 of The Masked Singer was the Popcorn, who was revealed to be 80s pop singer and songwriter Taylor Dayne. She put in so much energy and emotion to all her performances and could have gone further on any other season. Her performance of “What About Us” by Pink amazed the panel, who could not believe her voice sounded the way it did. Her voice was so impressive, two of the panelists guessed that she was Tina Turner, even though she had just performed a Tina Turner song.

If you enjoyed her from her time on the show, you’ll probably want to see her while she is on tour. She has two shows coming up on October 20 and 21 as part of Eat to the Beat at Epcot in Disney World. Almost a month later, she will have a show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on November 11. Her next show after that is only a few days later on November 17 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Her next show will be on December 2 as part of the Fiesta Youth Gala at the Woodlawn Point Auditorium in San Antonio, Texas. She will then have a show on December 31 at the Vee Quiva Resort & Casino in Maricopa County, Arizona.

She also currently has several shows scheduled for 2024. Her first show for next year will be on January 9 at the Duncan Theatre in Lake Worth, Florida. One month after that, on February 12, she will be at the Krewe of Orpheus for a Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans. A few days later, she will have a show at the Sycuan Casino in El Cajon, California on February 16. A few more days later, she will be performing at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, New York. Her next show after that will be on March 22 at the Uptown Art Expo in Altamonte Springs in Florida. She will have another show the next day on March 23 at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, Florida. Her next show will be a few weeks later on April 12 at the Andiamo Celebrity Theatre in Warren, Michigan. Her next show after that is the following day, April 13, at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois. After that, she will be doing four shows over the course of two days at the Blue Note in Honolulu on May 31 and June 1. The first show on both days will be at 6:30, and the second show on both days will be at 9:00. The last show that she has scheduled is on June 7 at Yoshi’s in Oakland, California.

As always, we hope you will agree with who we think should do it and the reasoning as to why. The first celebrity that we think should do it is actor and comedian Denis Leary. While this might seem like a random choice, we have a good reason for why he should do it. He has done some singing as part of his comedy, and his voice is actually very good. What he is singing is typically very offensive, but he puts as much effort into it as any other singer would with their performance. The show has already had several comedians that you had no idea were as good as they are at singing, so Denis Leary would be another great person to add to that category. The first celebrity that we feel would be perfect for the show is actor Billy Bob Thornton.
