Debbie Gibson - Night Owl



Even though she was only on the show for one episode, one of the standout contestants on Season 9 was the Night Owl, who was revealed to be Debbie Gibson. She only had one performance, but she gave a perfect rendition of “Fernando” by ABBA. What is also notable about her time on the show is how she got there. One of the contestants that season was supposed to be French Hen, but just before they were supposed to perform, they tested positive for Covid. As a result, Mustang, who was supposed to perform on ABBA Night, got pushed up to the premiere. With very little time before the episode was supposed to be taped, Debbie Gibson was asked to be a contestant with 24 hours’ notice. It’s also clear that they didn’t have much time to make a new costume, as the Night Owl appears to be made using one of the Snow Owl costumes. It’s impressive that she was willing to do the show with almost no time to prepare and gave an amazing performance. 

If you enjoyed her performance on The Masked Singer, you might want to see her upcoming tour. The tour is holiday themed and is called the Winterlicious 2023 tour. The tour will start with several shows in the Northeast. The first show will be on November 24 at the Landis Theater in Vineland, New Jersey. Her next show after that will be the very next day, November 25, at Mount Airy Casino and Resort in Pocono, Pennsylvania. A few days after that, she will have a three-night residency at the Grammercy Theater in New York City. The first show will be on November 30, the second show will be on December 1, and the third show will be on December 2. A few days later, she will be heading to the West for three shows in California. She will have another three-night residency at the Bourbon Room in Los Angeles. The first show will be on December 7, the second show will be on December 8, and the third show will be on December 9.

While this might seem like a random choice, we have a good reason for why he should do it. He has done some singing as part of his comedy, and his voice is actually very good. What he is singing is typically very offensive, but he puts as much effort into it as any other singer would with their performance. The show has already had several comedians that you had no idea were as good as they are at singing, so Denis Leary would be another great person to add to that category.
