Paul Anka - The Broccoli







Out of all the contestants that have been on The Masked Singer, one of the most interesting is certainly the Broccoli, otherwise known as Paul Anka. Even though he was only on the show for three episodes, he managed to stand out in many ways, one of them being the amount of energy his voice had and how much he was able to move around for someone who was 79 years old at the time. It was also really fascinating that the show was able to get someone who has worked with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.

If you enjoyed his singing while he was on the show, you will be happy to know that he will be going on tour soon. He will be kicking it off with an appearance on the Malt Shop Memories Cruise in late October, where he will be one of many performers there from the 1950s and 1960s. Once the cruise is over, he will be kicking off his tour in his home country of Canada on November 3, at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls.

People who live in the Northeast will have four chances to see him. On November 4, his first show in the region will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena at 8:00 PM in Uncasville, CT. His second show is four days later on November 8 at the Lynn Memorial Auditorium in Lynn, Massachusetts, and will also start at 8:00 PM. His third show is two days later on November 10 at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and it starts at 9:00 PM. His fourth show is the next day on November 11 at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury in Westbury, New York at 8:00 PM. 

After that, he will be doing three shows in the Midwest, with one show in Indiana on November 14, and two shows in Illinois on November 16 and 17. Then he will take a break before starting up again in January at the Arizona Musicfest, before doing four shows in California. Then he will do three shows in Florida in March. 

So, get your tickets and listen to the Broccoli do what he does best!

As always, we hope you will agree with who we think should do it and the reasoning as to why. The first celebrity that we think should do it is actor and comedian Denis Leary. While this might seem like a random choice, we have a good reason for why he should do it. He has done some singing as part of his comedy, and his voice is actually very good. What he is singing is typically very offensive, but he puts as much effort into it as any other singer would with their performance. The show has already had several comedians that you had no idea were as good as they are at singing, so Denis Leary would be another great person to add to that category. He also has several accolades that the show loves, as he has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award and three Emmy Awards. The first celebrity that we feel would be perfect for the show is actor Billy Bob Thornton.
