Soundtrack Of My Life Night AKA The Quarterfinals

Image
After an amazing episode last week with The Lucky 6, it was time for The Quarterfinals with Soundtrack Of My Life Night! I was looking forward to this episode, as this is one of the theme nights that gets brought back season after season, and it allows for some great performances of the contestants singing songs they have a personal connection to. The episode opened with a group performance of “More Than A Feeling” by Boston. I enjoyed this for many reasons, one being that it’s one of my favorite songs, and another being that I always enjoy the group performances, as they let the contestants stand out together, and they always choose the best songs for all of them to show off their voices together, and I was surprised by how great it was for all five of their voices. After that, Detective Lucky Duck came out and said that one of the contestants there stole something very valuable from Robin.  After that, it was time for the first performer of the night, which was Coral. For each cl...

The Lucky 6

After nine amazing episodes with all three groups, it was time for the groups to merge with the Lucky 6! I was looking forward to this episode very much since it was announced before the season started, as I knew it meant that two contestants would be moving on at the end of each group, and in a lot of the past seasons, when only one contestant moves on at the end of each group, it resulted in other great contestants getting robbed, so I was looking forward to hearing more amazing performances from the Final Six. The first performer of the night was Mad Scientist Monster. In this episode, there weren’t really that much to the clue packages, as it mostly consisted of each contestant sharing brief information about themselves that they already said so far, along with them saying one additional thing about themselves meant to help narrow down the panelists guesses, before a colossal clue was presented onstage. For Mad Scientist Monster, he said that he was not Keith Urban, but that they h...

Decades Night

After an amazing episode last week with Boy Band Night, it was time for the Group C Finals with Decades Night! I was looking forward to this episode, as it’s another theme night that does not result in restrictive song choice, so I knew that we would be getting a variety of different song choices. I was also looking forward to hearing the last three Group C contestants again, as all three were very good singers.
The episode opened the same way as all the other Group Finals, with a group performance of the song “My Sharona” by The Knack. I always enjoy the group performances, as they let each contestant stand out individually and together, and they always pick the best songs for it, and in this case it let all three of them show off the power in their voices. After that, it was time for the first performer of the night, which was Yorkie. In her clue package, she said that the decade she chose was the 60s because they remind her of her mom, and she instantly pictures her as a young woma...

Boy Band Night

Image
After an amazing start to Group C last week with Carnival Night, it was time to see them again with Boy Band Night! I was looking forward to this episode, as this is technically a theme night the show has done before, as Boy Band songs were performed on Trolls Night in Season 10, and all the other times that they have brought back past theme nights, the episodes have been great, so I expected it to be the same. As the episode got closer, I found out some more information through the listing on the website The Futon Critic, which was that with the exception of one artist, the other three songs that were going to be performed were from three different Boy Bands than the ones that were featured last time, which I thought was cool, and there were also going to be clues delivered in the episode by Chris Kirkpatrick and Omarion, two past contestants who were also in Boy Bands, which I thought was cool as the show did the same thing when it was Girl Group Night in Season 11. The first perform...
